There was a lot of awareness last year about viruses. The blessing in the government’s power-mongering and the mainstream media hype is that it created an opportunity for many to raise their consciousness and choicefulness regarding their health. Those who stepped out of the fear stepped into self-empowerment. In the same way that particular, unconscious beliefs have been noted to support specific illnesses and dis-eases, there are specific beliefs for those viral in nature. For example, sexual shame, self-hate, low self-esteem and anger at oneself can make someone predisposed to the herpes virus. Beliefs of hopelessness, punishment, and that life is not worth living are commonly found to be true for those with HIV. Therefore, healing a virus requires an examination of what we deeply believe and feel about ourselves. Consider that if we have high self-esteem and sustain a high energetic frequency we make it far more difficult to become attacked. We have all probably experienced how easily we can let an insult slide by without a care if we feel good about ourselves. But if we feel worn out and low in energy, self-doubt, self-criticism and negativity are often not far behind, and an insult can instantly set off an emotional trigger, deepening our self-loathing. In the same way, foreign invaders effortlessly take hold in the weakened state of their host. This compromised condition is not just on the physical level, but also mental and emotional.
